ServiceCapture quits on me with no warning or error message several times a day. I usually discover it's happened when a site I'm browsing suddenly gives me the error, "The proxy server is refusing connections."
This problem isn't a show-stopper -- all I have to do is relaunch ServiceCapture and everything's hunky-dory till the next time -- but it is irritating and disrupts the work flow, marring an otherwise superb piece of software.
I'm running Win XP Pro 5.1 build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 on a Dell Latitude D820 with 1.99 Gb RAM, 2.16 GHz processor, and gigs of empty disk space.
I primarily use Firefox 2.0.0.1 with multiple tabs open to a mix of http and https pages. I typically run half a dozen applications, but I've got the memory to support that usage.
My SC setting are:
[ ] Keep on top
[x] Maximize on start
Max captures: 3000 (at your suggestion)
[x] Auto-scroll when already at bottom
Current fields:
- Type Icon
- HTTP status code
- Time on request
- Server
- Path
- Service
- Method
- Response size
[x] Automatically change tab focus
[ ] Do not display remoting tab
[x] Auto-detect upstream proxy
[x] Modify IE settings
[x] Modify auto configuration script
[ ] Decrypt secure traffic
Beautiful software, Kevin; keep up the good work!
