I cannot initiate streaming a radio station from iTunes when ServiceCapture is enabled.

When I double click my radio, the displayed URL, name and genre are displayed with off-by-one names ("ttp://favouriteradio.com", "avouriteRadio", "lectric music"). A couple of clicks/pops are heard, then nothing.

If I start ServiceCapture after the stream is initiated, everything is OK.

Interesting find... I will definately look into this.

If you are using ServiceCapture only for Firefox, you can turn off proxy configuration for OSX under Settings->Proxy tab. Then SC will not bother apps other than Firefox.

Hi Kevin,

I've noticed this as well (on WinXP) for some time with other programs (e.g. streaming over Windows Media Player). For what it's worth, if I start the streaming with SC closed, and then open SC, streaming continues.

Since my intent is to use SC for Firefox capture, turning off proxy config as you discussed here solves the issue. (BTW, it would be great if you can figure out a way to modify Firefox settings onstartup/shutdown similarly to that feature for IE.)
Thanks,

Everything works the same way with me: streaming works if its started before SC, turning off global proxy solves the issue, and automatic modification of FF settings would have been great.

Any chance the iTunes bug will be fixed any time soon?
